Mark Canha and Kerry Carpenter both hit RBI singles to even the score at 3, part of the 5-run seventh inning for the Detroit Tigers. Casey Mize pitched well going 5 innings allowing two earned runs and three runs total. Detroit Tigers defense committed four errors on the night but the Detroit Tigers were able to outlast the Kansas City Royals.
